A Simple, Automatic Approach for Assessing Left Ventricular Longitudinal Function with Cine Cardiovascular MR

To date, left ventricular ejection fraction is most commonly used for assessing LV function and disease severity However, a limitation of LVEF is its inability to entirely reflect the complexity of LV systolic function and distinguish functional impairment among different components of cardiac deformation. In this webinar Dr Zhong Liang will discuss:

  • Current state of the art in assessing LF systolic function including ejection fraction and its relevance to assessing disease
  • MR a cquisition and analysis of LV strain
  • Automatic assessment of LV strain and assessing diastolic abnormalities

After the lecture, a fifteen minute question and answer session will follow. All participants are welcomed and encouraged to share in the dialogue.
