Summary
In hands-on sessions participants will practice with different methods of acquiring and processing for 2D quantification plug-ins, and learn how to calculate Global Longitudinal Strain (GLS) using Speckle Tracking Echocardiography (STE).
GLS is the optimal parameter for the early detection of subclinical LV dysfunction in patients under chemotherapy – ASE/EACVI Expert Consensus Statement.
Learning objectives

About speaker
Mr Diego Colas
Diego Colas Escalera is an internationally certified Philips Clinical Educator, He is passionate about delivering innovations in cardiac Ultrasound as well as training and education.
Diego has over 10 years of working experience in cardiac imaging, focusing in the application of 2D and 3D echocardiography, quantification tools and Fusion Imaging. He graduated with a Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Universidad Europea de Madrid.
