Hands-on skills will be trained through the scanning of live models, using 3D image processing software and different Strain quantification applications.

For 3D echocardiography to be implemented in routine clinical practice, a full understanding of its technical principles and a systematic approach to image acquisition and analysis are required - EAE/ASE Recommendations.

Learning objectives

  • Learn about the latest technology in Live 3D Echocardiography and Strain Imaging;
  • Discuss the strategies to obtain good quality 3D datasets, and manipulate them to evaluate specific cardiac structures and lesions;
  • Understand and effectively use 3D image processing and quantification tools;
  • Share best practices for Speckle Tracking Echocardiography (STE).

The price includes the training, lunch, coffee breaks and a tour throughout the Philips regional headquarters in Singapore where various (premium and working) products are displayed; it excludes transportation and accommodation.
